The Sitzler Family

I was lucky to meet Darlene (Grandma Sitzler) at the Phoenix Zoo. I just bought a membership and it was my first time there. I saw an area where people were feeding giraffes and got really excited and waited for my turn. When I was up, Darlene was the fabulous one that got to help me feed and learn more about their giraffes. We got to talking and realized we were both teachers and animal lovers. I was happy to meet a new friend so quickly at the zoo and was so happy that she wanted me to take photos for her and her family. They are such an amazing family!

Cody + Tiffany | Phoenix, AZ

Cody and Tiffany were my first engagement session since moving to Phoenix, Arizona! I absolutely had the best time with both of them. They are getting married in just a few short weeks and I am so looking forward to their wedding. We met up first at a coffee shop to discuss wedding details and got to know each other a little bit better. Then we drove to Papago Park. Papago Park is absolutely breathtaking – it has the perfect mix of desert, mountains, and beautiful landscapes to use for pictures. Mountains were something particular that Cody mentioned he wanted in the background of their session, and that was their only request. These two were SO easy going – it made the session a breeze for me! Luckily, my husband and I had went to the park the day before and found the most amazing spot that I’m sure not many know about at Papago Park. These two were willing to hike to the spot in their outfits, and Tiffany even hiked up the mountain BAREFOOT! Impressed with this couple yet? You should be! I have never seen anyone do that before – I was amazed! I am just so in love with these photos and this couple! Cody and Tiffany – thanks so much for choosing me to be your photographer! I am thankful to be able to also say I feel that I walked away with two amazing new friends as well! xoxo

Kinsley & Elliott Fry | My Niece and Nephew {Personal Post}

A little personal post today! A couple months ago (I know, I know, I’m so bad at getting my family pictures edited sometimes) I was lucky enough to get to go visit my sister Erica, my niece Kinsley, and my brand new nephew Elliott with my mommy! We had the best time – we don’t get to see each other much because we all live in different places, so any time we get together, is very special to me. I LOVE getting adorable outfits and dressing my niece up and bribing her to play along so I can get some shots of her – yes, I have to bribe my niece, but hey, sometimes you gotta do that! I bought THE CUTEST VEST EVER – in fact, I wish this exact same one came in my size but sadly it only comes in toddler sizes. Kinsley didn’t love it as much as I did, but all that matters is that I got some adorable shots of her in it! Of course I got some shots of my nephew as well (more candid) and can’t wait to see if he is more into my photo sessions as he gets older than Kinsley or if I’ll have to bribe him too! I’m definitely thinking my next session with them is going to be country themed because they just moved TEXAS! Yee-haw! =)

Tristan Rogers | Horizon HS 2015

Tristan was so much fun to shoot! I was excited to bring a guy in the mix and what a cutie he is! He was so easy going and was up for any pose/location spot I had in mind. He even had some ideas of his own that we incorporated into the shoot. My favorite part of his session was the beginning when he brought his girlfriend Rachel in for some couple photos. These two love birds wanted to get dressed up in their homecoming outfits and get pictures by the LOVE sign in Old Town Scottsdale and at the Sugar Bowl. I had been dying to do a session at the Sugar Bowl – it is the cutest little old fashioned ice cream shop with so many different options for photos! I of course wanted to use the bar when I immediately saw it for their milkshake pictures and then we used a couple other spots in the store too! We then headed over to the LOVE sign and finished up their couple pictures there. From there, the spotlight was on only Tristan! We all had such a great time hanging out and finding spots to take pictures! Tristan (and Rachel!) I hope you love your photos!

Emma Miller | 16 months

Get ready to oooooh and ahhhhh over this little cutie! Emma is absolutely adorable at 16 months old and is starting to walk on her own. It was perfect timing for a session to showcase some of her new moves. Emma, her mommy Tatum, and I went to a little park near their home. It was just what we needed – an open space with some grass, trees, and shade! (Shade is a must here in sunny Arizona during the hot months!) It was a little muggier than we planned on so we only had about 30-40 minutes of shoot time before poor little Emma was sweating all over. We incorporated her pink chair and a teeny tulle skirt with some pearls for some girlie elements. We were really lucky, because about half way through the session, a neighborhood dog named Lucy came through and made Emma’s day! The minute Emma spotted Lucy, she was smiling from ear to ear and we were able to get some adorable shots of Emma with Lucy. I just loved getting time to shoot this cutie! Art and Tatum – I hope you two love these photos as much as I do! xoxo
