Lauren {Trash the Dress}

This trash the dress session was so much fun! The GORGEOUS Lauren and I went to to Ditto’s Landing in Huntsville, Alabama for this shoot. I have known her for over 10 years, as we went to high school together, so it made this shoot extra special and fun! We literally spent about 6 hours together shooting and it felt like we were only out there for about 30 minutes. We knew we wanted to use water in the session, so we saved that for the end. Neither of us had been to Ditto’s Landing before so we had to scout the area as we went. We found some great areas with trees, rocks and even a very old dirty tire we dragged over to a spot I found =) We unfortunately suffered a lot of bug bites (chiggers for me specifically – yuck!) but it was TOTALLY worth it. I just love the shots we got! Lauren, I hope you love these photos!

Lauren + Andy {Groomal}

I was ecstatic when I found out that Lauren and Andy were interested in doing a groomal session. For those of you that are wondering what a groomal is, it is bride and groom photos taken after the wedding that have a more relaxed feel them. It really gives the bride and groom a chance to get some photos they weren’t able to at the wedding. Lauren is a friend I went to high school with, and when I went back to Huntsville, Alabama to visit, we took the photos there at an abandoned church they had some of their engagement photos taken at. We were also fortunate to have a beautiful cornfield near the church to use for photos as well. I really wanted to showcase Lauren and Andy’s unique style and I love that they wanted their dog, Layla to be in some of the photos as well. You will notice pink as an accent color throughout the session. We definitely had to be troopers through spiders crawling up dresses and other bugs, but we made it and I’m so glad because the photos are beautiful! I hope you love these Lauren and Andy!!!

Micah! I am so in love with each and every one of these photos. Words can’t even express it. I laughed at the dandelion pictures. Thank you so much. <3

Alice in Wonderland

I am so happy to finally share the Alice in Wonderland photo shoot that I did back in March. This concept took many months to brainstorm and gather ideas for outfits, make up, props, and location. I knew I would need at least  a few characters from the book/movie to make it work and I am so happy with the results from the shoot. The girls involved did a great job getting into their characters and having fun with the props! The make up was done by Timeless by Paula and as always, Paula did a phenomenal job! My friend Megan provided most of the table set as well, so thank you Megan (and your sweet family of course!) for all of your help on this shoot!!! And of course I have to recognize the girls that were part of this amazing shoot! Jennifer M. played Alice, Jennifer R. played the Mad Hatter, Whit played the White Rabbit, and Jill played the Red Queen. Now for the fun!!!!!

Minnie Mouse {“mini” session}

You may recognized Megan from the Snow White theme shoot that I have already posted. I found this dress and we immediately thought it would be fun to a do a ‘mini’ shoot as Minnie Mouse! I made the headpiece and we literally took these pictures in about 10 minutes but had to do it! I hope you love them!

Red Riding Hood

Beautiful Candace is the face behind Red Riding Hood. I have always loved the story of Red Riding Hood and after the movie came out, I just had to do a session around the theme. I knew Candace would be the perfect fit with her beautiful features and bright, blonde hair! We took the shots in the woods, and even used a fog machine for a photo or two to create a  more mysterious vibe! I ordered the cape custom made online and am so happy that I did because it was perfect, and Candace wore her beautiful wedding gown underneath it. Paula with Timeless by Paula was the make up artist on set. (Below the Red Riding Hood Session you will find a few images of Candace (Red Riding Hood) and Inga (Pocahontas) because they are best friends – what fun!)
